What most teams miss when integrating Picqer
Picqer has a handful of edge cases that quietly break catalog syncs. Here's what we've run into in production — and how WISEPIM handles each one.
Picqer Stores Multiple Barcodes in One String
Picqer's `barcode` field can contain a comma-separated list of barcodes for the same SKU. Pushing the raw string into a single-value EAN field on another platform produces an invalid barcode and rejected listings.
How WISEPIM handles it
WISEPIM keeps only the first barcode from the list as the canonical EAN, so downstream channel pushes never see comma-separated values.
Country of Origin Must Be ISO-2
Picqer should return ISO-2 country codes, but exports occasionally arrive as full country names or longer codes. Pushing those to marketplaces with strict validation fails.
How WISEPIM handles it
WISEPIM truncates and uppercases country_of_origin to two characters on import, so EU compliance fields stay valid.
Oversold Stock Can Go Negative
Picqer's freestock can dip below zero when orders are accepted faster than they're picked. Propagating negative stock to a storefront is misleading and can confuse availability logic.

WISEPIM clamps negative totals to zero on import — channels see 'out of stock' rather than a misleading negative number.

productcode
Picqer's primary product identifier — equivalent to SKU in most other systems.
WISEPIM uses productcode as the SKU and as the unique key for upserts.
freestock
Available-to-sell stock per warehouse after reserved/allocated quantities are subtracted.
WISEPIM sums freestock across warehouses (or scopes to one) and uses the total as stock_quantity.
unlimitedstock
Boolean flag on Picqer products that disables stock tracking — used for digital goods, services, or made-to-order items.
When set, WISEPIM marks the product as 'in stock' regardless of warehouse counts and disables manage_stock.
Warehouse ID (idwarehouse)
Numeric identifier of a Picqer warehouse. Visible in Picqer under Settings → Warehouses.
Optional integration setting — provide it to scope stock imports to one warehouse; leave empty to sum all.
