WISEPIM only reads from Databricks
This link pulls data out of Databricks and into WISEPIM. It does not push data back. WISEPIM never writes to Delta Lake and it will not create or export tables in your lakehouse.
How WISEPIM handles it
Use this link to bring Databricks data into WISEPIM. If you need product data to live inside Databricks, load it there with your own pipeline.
Only attributes and categories come in, not products
The import covers two things. First, attributes, with their name, code, type, options, and validation rules. Second, categories with their group hierarchy and parent and child links. Product titles, descriptions, prices, images, stock, and variants are not imported. There is a Products Source Table field, but the connection test only probes it. No products are read from it.
How WISEPIM handles it
Map your attribute and category tables and import those. Bring products in a different way, since this link does not read them.
Imports run in batches, not in real time
You start each import yourself. WISEPIM queues the job and reads the source table in batches of 1000 rows using SQL SELECT. There is no live streaming and no Delta Live Tables. New rows in Databricks do not appear in WISEPIM until you run an import.
How WISEPIM handles it
Run an import whenever you want fresh data, and set a regular rhythm if you need it kept up to date.
Source table names must follow a strict format
WISEPIM checks each table name before it queries it. Use letters, numbers, underscores, and hyphens, and start with a letter or underscore. You can use up to three dotted parts, like catalog.schema.table. Names outside this pattern are rejected.
