For central offices and their members

PIM for Buying Groups and Member Organizations

Every member, one version of every product

Members each send their own version of the same product. WISEPIM gives the central office one standard, a project per member, human review of AI suggestions and one catalog members import.

  • 99.9% uptime SLA
  • SOC 2 Type II aligned
  • A project per member

Key features

  • One standard, set centrally

Families decide which attributes each product type needs. Option sets fix the allowed values, with a label in every language.

  • Doubtful cases go to a person

Catalog Jobs apply only the suggestions you trust. Everything below your threshold waits in the Review queue for a person.

  • One catalog for all members

Share the central catalog through a Brand Portal. Members browse it and import it into their own project, and download it if you allow that.

Who it's for

Built for groups that share products

For groups where many independent members sell or describe the same products, and a central office keeps that data consistent.

Built for you if

  • You work for a buying group, purchasing cooperative or retail formula, or a member organization with affiliated members
  • Members, suppliers or regional offices each deliver their own version of the same products
  • Your shared range runs to tens of thousands of SKUs across several sources, countries or languages
  • The central office has to decide which value is right, and show afterwards how it decided
  • You need roles, human review and an uptime commitment in writing before the rollout
  • There is a sponsor at board level and someone who owns product data day to day

Probably not yet if

  • Members share no products at all: a separate project per member on a published plan is enough
  • You are one company with one product source: our pages for wholesalers and webshops fit you better
  • You are halfway through a PIM migration: finish it first, then add WISEPIM next to it

Not sure? Bring three files to a demo: one supplier price list, two member exports of the same product group and your current attribute list if you have one.Book an enterprise demo

Why the central office struggles

Where shared product data breaks

In a buying group or member organization, product data never comes from one place. It comes from suppliers, from the central office and from every member who keeps a copy of their own.

  1. Same SKU, a different story per member

One member lists a drill at 18 V, the next at 18 volt, a third leaves the voltage empty. Customers who compare members see three products where there is one.

  2. No standard anyone can point to

The attribute list lives in a spreadsheet or in one person's head. Every new member and every new supplier invents its own columns and value lists.

  3. Nobody owns the final value

When the supplier, the central office and a member disagree, the last import wins. Nobody can see who changed what, let alone undo it.

  4. Supplier files arrive in every shape

Price lists, Excel sheets and ERP exports come in by email or FTP, each with its own columns, and the central team maps them by hand again every season.

  5. Members redo what the center already did

Each member enriches, translates and categorizes the same products for its own webshop. The group pays for the same work as many times as it has members.

  6. Governance has to hold up to scrutiny

The board asks for roles, human review and an uptime commitment in writing. Email threads and shared drives cannot show who decided what, or when.

How WISEPIM solves it

What the central office gets

Six things a central data team sets up in WISEPIM, each one a feature you can open in the product.

  • A standard the data has to meet

Families set the attributes each product type needs and which of them are required. Option sets fix the allowed values with a label per language, and decide whether an unknown value on import is added, flagged for review or skipped. Working with ETIM? Adopt its classes and WISEPIM builds the families, attributes and option sets from them.

Members fill the same fields with the same values.

  • A project per member, one organization

Put the central catalog and every member in their own project under one organization. Each project has its own users and draws on the organization's credit pool, as a shared budget or a fixed one you set.

The center sets the rules, members keep their own space.

  • Only the center changes the standard

In the central project, give member staff and supplier contacts a custom role that edits products but cannot manage attributes, categories or families, and limit which product fields and attributes each person may edit. Their own project stays theirs.

The standard stays put when a member disagrees.

  • People review, AI does the volume

Catalog Jobs fill gaps and give every suggestion a confidence score. Results above your threshold apply, the rest wait in one Review queue with the evidence behind them. Set the threshold to Never and nothing applies without a person.

A person stays in the loop wherever you want one.

  • See where members drift

Compare a member's project with the central one, SKU by SKU, and push the right values across. Inside one attribute, look-alike values are grouped by case, spacing and typos so you merge them in one step, with undo.

Years of drift turn back into one list.

  • One catalog, shared with every member

A Brand Portal shows the central catalog with your logo, in the languages you choose and behind a password if you want. Members import it into their own WISEPIM project, and download CSV or Excel when you turn export on.

Members stop rebuilding the same content.

In the product

The Review queue the center works from

Catalog Jobs send every suggestion below your confidence threshold here, with the source behind it. Reviewers accept, reject or change values with single keys, and accept the high-confidence ones in bulk.

The Review queue in WISEPIM: every open suggestion with its source and confidence, ready for a person to decide.

Who decides

Who decides which value is right

The question every buying group runs into. In WISEPIM the answer is written into the setup instead of left to whichever import ran last.

  • The central office

Owns the families, option sets, category tree, Content Logic values and Template Strings, and decides which roles may change them.

    Sets the standard

  • Suppliers

Deliver files by upload, link, FTP, SFTP or email. Imports match rows on SKU or EAN and can be limited to updating products that already exist.

    Bring the raw data

  • Reviewers

Work through the Review queue and accept, reject or correct what Catalog Jobs propose below the threshold.

    Have the final say

  • Members

Take over the central catalog from a Brand Portal and keep what is local in their own project, such as prices, stock and their own channels. The center decides which columns the portal shares, so a new import never touches the rest.

    Sell from one source

Four ways groups run product data

Most buying groups and member organizations already have something in place. The question is whether it gives the central office a standard that members actually follow.

Suppliers and members do not edit data in the central project: suppliers deliver files, and Brand Portals are read-only. WISEPIM does not offer SAML SSO or SCIM provisioning today.

How a rollout starts

From a few members to the group

Rollouts for buying groups and member organizations are scoped up front and start narrow on purpose: one product group, a handful of suppliers and two or three members, so the standard proves itself before everyone joins.

  1. Agree the standard and who owns it

    Before the start

With your sponsor and data owner we choose the pilot product group, the suppliers and members in scope, the languages, who may change the standard and what counts as success.

  2. Build the central project

    Pilot

Set up families, option sets and the category tree. Connect the pilot suppliers by upload, link, FTP, SFTP or email, let Catalog Jobs fill the gaps, and have reviewers clear the Review queue.

  3. Bring members in one at a time

    Rollout

Each member gets its own project, users and credit budget inside your organization. Members import the central catalog from a Brand Portal. Where a category map between the two projects is confirmed, each product lands in the member's own tree.

Buying group PIM questions

What central offices ask before they bring WISEPIM in.

The central office, through the setup. Families define the attributes each product type needs, option sets fix the allowed values, and roles decide who may change either. Per option set you choose whether an unknown value on import is added, flagged for review or skipped. Projects can be compared SKU by SKU to find values that drifted, and look-alike values within one attribute merge into one, with undo. Example: the option set for a shower mixer's finish holds chrome, matt black and brushed steel and flags new values for review. A member import that says chr then arrives as a flagged value for a person to check, instead of passing as a fourth finish.

There is no separate approval gate. Human review runs through the Review queue: Catalog Jobs apply only the suggestions above the confidence threshold you choose and send the rest to the queue. Set the threshold to Never and every suggestion waits for a person. Quality Guard rules then hold back products that miss the standard from export, and on paid plans the operation history lets you undo changes.

Through a Brand Portal: a branded, read-only catalog with your logo, an optional password and your choice of products, columns and languages. Members browse and filter it and import it into their own WISEPIM project, and if you turn on export they can also download CSV or Excel. Importing again updates their matching products, matched on SKU, but only in the columns the portal shares. A portal never lets anyone edit the central data.

With the columns of the member portal. A portal import always carries the SKU and product name, plus the columns you choose to share. Shared columns belong to the center: every import overwrites the member's copy. Columns you leave out belong to the member, and imports never touch them. A common split shares specs, attributes, EAN and categories and leaves price, stock and descriptions to the member. Content Logic keeps shared values such as a return policy in one place, and Template Strings in Feed Hub compose titles per channel from the same fields.

Yes. Adopt ETIM classes and WISEPIM turns each one into a family with its attributes and option sets, so members work to a standard the sector already uses. Feed Hub then builds a hosted BMEcat 2005 feed with ETIM features for members and trading partners who expect one, next to channel feeds such as Google Shopping.

The organization holds a credit pool. Each project draws on it as a shared budget, or gets a fixed budget that an organization admin raises, lowers or returns to the pool. When a project's budget runs out, paid actions in that project pause instead of charging someone else. A member that already works in WISEPIM adds its own project to your organization and stays its owner: adding it does not change who owns it or remove the owner's access.

AI reads your Knowledge Library, with your terminology, brand voice and channel rules, on every run. AI translation and category classification are 95%+ accurate, and Catalog Jobs send anything they are unsure about to the Review queue instead of applying it.

Data is stored in the EU and processed under GDPR. WISEPIM is SOC 2 Type II aligned; the formal audit is planned and has not taken place yet. Sign-in runs through email and password or Google, with optional MFA through an authenticator app or passkeys. SAML SSO and SCIM are not available today. The uptime SLA is 99.9%.

No. WISEPIM runs next to it. Akeneo syncs both ways. Other PIMs and ERPs connect through file exports or the REST API, so your system of record stays where it is.

Enterprise has two parts, a platform license and an AI credit volume sized to your catalog and the work you plan, and is scoped with your sponsor before the start. Users are unlimited on every plan, so adding members does not add seat costs.

One product standard for every member.

Book an enterprise demo and bring two member versions of the same product. We show how WISEPIM settles them, then scope a pilot on one product group.
