    Add an Akeneo API connection and run an import, by hand or on an automation schedule. If API access is restricted, import a CSV or Excel export from Akeneo instead. The API import brings in products, families, categories and attribute values.

    Enrich, translate and validate in WISEPIM

    Run AI enrichment on any attributes that are thin. Translate into 70+ languages. Validate GTINs against GS1. Generate channel-specific copy with Content Logic. All within Akeneo's family and attribute model.

    Push the enriched values back

    An export run writes the enriched values into the same SKUs and attribute codes in Akeneo, on demand or on a schedule. Translations go back as a CSV or Excel file with a column per locale for Akeneo's own import. Your channel sync picks up the data on its next run.

No. WISEPIM is the AI layer on top. Akeneo stays the source of truth for families, attributes, governance, channel routing, and approval workflows. WISEPIM handles the AI work: enrichment, translation, and validation, and writes results back into Akeneo. The two run side by side.

WISEPIM connects through Akeneo's standard REST API with an API connection (client ID, secret, username and password), so it isn't tied to a specific Akeneo edition. Without API access, the CSV or Excel file route works with any edition.

Akeneo has been adding AI capabilities (PXM Studio, smart suggestions). They're useful but limited in scope, locked to higher tiers, and slow to roll out new improvements. WISEPIM is purpose-built as an AI layer: it ships new capabilities continuously, isn't gated by Akeneo licensing, and covers translation, EAN enrichment, GTIN validation, and brand-voice content at a depth Akeneo's built-in AI doesn't reach.

Akeneo's locale-specific attributes stay exactly as they are. WISEPIM generates translations for your target locales using your Knowledge Library (brand voice, glossary, do-not-translate terms) and exports them as a CSV or Excel file with a column per locale, which you load with Akeneo's own import. No schema changes, no parallel data model.
