At a glance
Akeneo pricing at a glance
Akeneo's old pricing address returns a 404. Its current packages page lists three tiers of Akeneo Product Cloud. The Growth package shows a starting price of $0, billed annually, next to a button for a 14-day limited trial. Advanced and Premium say "Call for quote". Akeneo does not publish what a paid Growth contract costs, and no package lists SKU, user or locale limits.
| Package | Published price | What it adds |
|---|---|---|
| Community Edition | Free, self-hosted (OSL-3.0) | Core PIM; hosting, support and upgrades are on you |
| Growth | "Starting at $0", billed annually; 14-day trial | Data Architect Agent, composable products, AI descriptions and asset extraction |
| Advanced | Call for quote | Collaboration workflows, advanced rights management, channel-ready data governance |
| Premium | Call for quote | PX Insights (one data source), enterprise governance, success package with 24/7 support |
Every SaaS package includes one activation channel and SLA-backed support. In October 2024 Akeneo moved Asset Manager, Rules Engine and Reference Entities, previously Enterprise-only, into Growth at no extra cost, so older comparisons that list them as Enterprise features are out of date.
Price drivers
What drives the Akeneo price
- Contracted SKU capacity. Akeneo's help center explains there is no hard limit and you can exceed your contracted SKUs, but banners appear from 90% of capacity and point you to your Customer Success Manager for a capacity adjustment.
- Package. Workflows, advanced rights and governance sit in Advanced; PX Insights and the success package in Premium.
- Activation channels. One channel is included; more channels are a line on the quote.
- Add-ons. Supplier Data Manager, Shared Catalogs, Digital Showroom, apps for Salesforce Commerce Cloud, Adobe Commerce and Shopify, PX Insights, AI Readiness, AI Model Flexibility, the Extension Platform and automated asset tagging are all listed as add-ons.
Open source
The free Community Edition
Akeneo PIM Community Edition is open source under the Open Software License 3.0 and still released in 2026 (v2026.4 in August). Akeneo's help center says the Community Edition continues to be supported. The 30 September 2026 end of support applies to the version 7 on-premise and PaaS editions, which matters if you run an older paid installation.
Free here means no license fee. You host it on a Linux server with MySQL and Elasticsearch, apply upgrades yourself and buy connectors where you need them. Our open source PIM guide compares the Community Edition with Pimcore, AtroPIM and UnoPim on those running costs.
Implementation
Implementation and partner costs
Akeneo works with certified solution partners who help customers set up and adopt the platform. Neither Akeneo nor its partner pages publish implementation fees. Ask partners for a fixed-price proposal that covers data modelling, migration of your current product data, the connection to your webshop or ERP, and training. Plan your own team's time for data cleaning as well, because that work happens no matter which PIM you choose.
Quotes
How Akeneo quotes
For Advanced and Premium the only route is a quote or demo request. For Growth you can start the 14-day trial first. Either way, bring your SKU count, the channels you need to activate, the add-ons you expect to use and your expected growth, and ask for the annual price, the contract term, the price of extra SKU capacity and the renewal terms in writing. Buyer-data sites such as Vendr list Akeneo without published contract values, and the review sites we tried could not be loaded, so we do not quote third-party numbers here.
Comparison
Akeneo pricing versus WISEPIM
WISEPIM puts every plan and price on its pricing page. The free plan covers 100 products with no time limit. Paid plans start at €299 a month billed yearly for 1,000 products and reach €1,499 a month for 50,000 products; above that you get an Enterprise quote. AI enrichment, translation and quality checks are part of the plan through monthly AI credits, a few cents per product depending on your plan, so there is no separate AI add-on to negotiate.
Akeneo has a broader ecosystem, deeper governance features and a large partner network, which suits big teams with complex data models. WISEPIM is built to get content written, translated and checked fast for webshops, marketplaces and feeds. Our WISEPIM vs Akeneo comparison goes through the differences feature by feature.

| Scale | Up to 20,000 | 70,000 | €999 | €1,299 |

| Pro | Up to 40,000 | 120,000 | €1,299 | €1,699 |
| Pro Plus | Up to 50,000 | 150,000 | €1,499 | €1,949 |
Every plan includes 3 content languages; extra languages are a monthly add-on. Above 50,000 products WISEPIM quotes an Enterprise plan.
Works alongside
Using WISEPIM next to Akeneo
You can keep Akeneo as your source of truth and still use WISEPIM. It reads your families, attributes and locales over Akeneo's REST API or a CSV export, writes the missing descriptions and translations, and pushes the values back to the same SKUs. It works with the Community Edition as well as the SaaS packages. See how AI for Akeneo works, or compare other Akeneo alternatives.
