How bol.com commission works
bol charges two kinds of commission per item sold: a variable percentage of the selling price including VAT, and a fixed amount per item. Both depend on the product type and, for some products, on the price. Listing your range is free; you pay only when you sell.
bol publishes a range per category. Kitchen items, for example, pay between 5% and 12.5% plus EUR 0 to EUR 0.85 per item. bol's own example: a pasta machine sold for EUR 206.50 at 12.4% plus EUR 0.95 costs EUR 26.55 in commission, excluding VAT. Your seller account shows the exact rate for each offer.
Dutch companies pay 21% VAT on the commission. Companies elsewhere in the EU that give bol their VAT number pay no VAT on the commission and declare it under the reverse-charge scheme; companies outside the EU are charged without VAT.

bol publishes a range per category. Kitchen items pay 5% to 12.5% plus up to EUR 0.85 per item, books 5% to 17.5% plus up to EUR 1.85, and toys and games 4.1% to 20.7% plus up to EUR 2.99. Your seller account shows the exact rate for each offer.
Do I pay VAT on bol.com commission?
Dutch companies pay 21% VAT on the commission. Companies in another EU country that give bol their VAT number are charged without VAT and declare it under the reverse-charge scheme. Companies outside the EU are charged without VAT.
