Frequently asked questions

What is a product catalog template?

A spreadsheet with one row per product and one column per product attribute, so every product is described the same way. It is the file you collect supplier data in, share with a marketplace, or import into a shop or a PIM.

Which columns are required?

SKU, product name and price are the minimum for a shop. Marketplaces and Google also want a brand and a GTIN (EAN) for new branded products, and an image. Shipping outside the EU needs the HS code and country of origin.

How do I get this catalog into Shopify or WooCommerce?

Their importers expect their own column names. Use the Shopify or WooCommerce template on the templates page, or import this file into WISEPIM, which maps the columns and publishes to the connected shops for you.

Does the file import into WISEPIM without mapping?

Every header in the template is one the WISEPIM CSV import maps automatically, in English, Dutch, German and French. You see the suggested mapping before anything is imported and can change it, for example to send a column to your own attribute.
