Every column explained
| Column | Required | Imports into WISEPIM as | What goes in it |
|---|---|---|---|
SKU | Yes | SKU | Your own unique code for the product or variant. It is the key every import, update and channel uses to match rows, so never reuse one. |
Product name | Yes | Name | The name your team recognizes on the shelf. Add the variant (size, color) so two rows never look the same. |
EAN | EAN | The 13-digit barcode number (GTIN). Marketplaces and Google use it to identify the product. The examples use the 200 prefix, which is for internal use only. | |
Location | Map by hand | Where the stock sits: warehouse, aisle, shelf and bin, such as A-01-03. Use one row per location if a SKU is stored in two places. | |
Stock quantity | Yes | Stock | Units on hand after your last count or stock movement. Whole numbers only. |
Reorder point | Map by hand | The stock level that triggers a new order. A common rule: daily sales times supplier lead time in days, plus a safety stock. | |
Reorder quantity | Map by hand | How many units you order when the reorder point is reached, often the supplier's carton size or minimum order. | |
Unit cost | Cost price | What one unit costs you, excluding VAT. Use a dot as the decimal separator in the CSV. | |
Total value | Map by hand | Stock quantity times unit cost. A formula in the Excel file, a fixed number in the CSV. | |
Supplier | Supplier | Who you buy the product from, so a reorder goes to the right place. | |
Reorder status | Map by hand | Shows Reorder when stock is at or below the reorder point, otherwise OK. Filter on it to build your purchase list. | |
Last counted | Map by hand | Date of the last physical count, written as YYYY-MM-DD so every spreadsheet sorts it correctly. |
How to use the template
- 1
Download and open
Take the Excel file to work in a spreadsheet with live formulas, or the CSV to import the file somewhere else.
- 2
Replace the example rows
Keep the header row as it is. Add one row per product or variant and give each a unique SKU.
- 3
Import or share
Save as .xlsx or .csv (UTF-8) and import it into WISEPIM, your shop or a marketplace, or send it to your team.
Import it into WISEPIM
The headers are the ones the WISEPIM CSV import recognizes in English, Dutch, German and French. Upload the file and the columns map themselves; you check the mapping before anything is imported.

How do I keep inventory in Excel?
Give every product and variant its own row with a unique SKU, count the stock per location, and update the quantity after every delivery, sale and count. This template does the math for you: it multiplies stock by cost and flags every row that has reached its reorder point.
What is a reorder point?
The stock level at which you order again, so new stock arrives before you run out. A common rule is daily sales times the supplier's lead time in days, plus a safety stock for slow deliveries or busy weeks.
How is the stock value calculated?
Stock quantity times unit cost, excluding VAT. The Total value column in the Excel file is a formula, so it updates when you change either number. Add up the column to see what your stock is worth at cost.
When does a spreadsheet stop being enough?
When stock changes in several places at once: two sales channels, a warehouse and a shop, or suppliers who send their own files. Then a system that syncs stock to every channel saves the manual updates. WISEPIM can import this template as a start.
